The classic board game is brought to life on stage in Clue! Six guests are invited to a dinner party thrown by an anonymous host. They are given aliases of Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, and Miss Scarlet. Though discouraged from revealing personal information, it is soon discovered that all of them have fallen victim to the same blackmailer - their very host of the evening! Each is presented with a weapon and an option: pay their extortionist double, or kill the innocent butler. What follows is a madcap, slapstick evening full of murder, mystery, and laughs as they seek to puzzle out the culprit amongst criminals.
December 10th - 11th @ 7pm
Student directed, and shorter and funnier than the Shakespeare classic, Romeo and Juliet is a love story for the ages. The Capulet and Montague households have been embroiled in a bloody fight for as long as anyone in Verona can remember. The death toll is mounting, and it seems that the best thing anyone can do is keep the two sides as far from each other as possible. But when young Romeo Montague crashes the Capulet ball, he falls head-over-heels in love with young Juliet Capulet – and she falls just as in love with him. What ensues is one of the most romantic and devastating love stories in the theatrical canon. Tickets will be available at the door of the Little Auditorium for just $6 cash or check.
The EGR High School Improv Squad is an off-the-cuff evening of hilarity! Taking place in our 200 seat Little Auditorium, we will be presenting short form improv games in the style of the popular Whose Line Is It Anyway? TV show, and our intrepid improv artists will have a blast acting with no scripts and leaving you in stitches! We will perform some of classics like "Bucket of Water", but will definitely have lots of new games as well - and audience participation is encouraged! Tickets will be available at the door of the Little Auditorium for just $6 cash or check.
In October 1998 in the middle of the prairie outside Laramie, Wyoming, Matthew Shepard, a 21 year old student at the University of Wyoming, was tied to a fence post, severely beaten, robbed, , tortured and left, alone, to die. His body - battered, bloody and barely clinging to life - was discovered eighteen hours later. He was rushed to the hospital and put on life support but died five days later. The reason for this brutal crime? Matthew Shepard was gay... Hailed as one of the most captivating and encompassing pieces of contemporary theatre, this play shocks, challenges, and moves all who watch it as it reveals the lowest depths of hatred and greatest heights of compassion that lie within all human beings in any seemingly average community.
March 12th @ 7pm
